Friday night elementary league this summer

Team Ultimate Camp and Seattle Riot are excited to partner once again for the 5th annual Elementary Summer league! This league is an individual or buddy sign up league. Players will be placed on mixed level teams once registration closes and be in for 6 full nights of Ultimate playing fun and community building! Coached by a combination of Seattle Riot players and local Seattle area youth players.

Who can play: Current (2016-2017) 3rd through 5th graders
Nights: 6 evenings, 5:30PM-7:00PM
6/23, 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28
We ask that players are able to commit to at least 4 of the 6 nights in order to play in the league.
Cost: 75$ - all profits benefit Seattle Riot in their fully player funded season.

Space: We have room for at least 80 players. This league fills quickly, we may expand to 100 players/10 teams if needed.

Rules

Each point begins with both teams lining up on the front of their respective endzone line. The defense throws ("pulls") the disc to the offense.

A regulation game has seven players per team.

Each time the offense completes a pass in the defense's endzone, the offense scores a point.

The disc may be advanced in any direction by completing a pass to a teammate.

Players may not run with the disc.

The person with the disc ("thrower") has ten seconds to throw the disc.

The defender guarding the thrower ("marker") counts out the stall count.

When a pass in not completed (e.g. out of bounds, drop, block, interception), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense.

No physical contact is allowed between players.

Picks and screens are also prohibited.

A foul occurs when contact is made.

When a foul disrupts possession, the play resumes as if the possession was retained.

If the player committing the foul disagrees with the foul call, the play is redone.

Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls.

Players resolve their own disputes.

Spirit of the Game -- Ultimate stresses sportsmanship and fair play. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of respect between players, adherence to the rules, and the basic joy of play.
